Anti-Iraqism

This is a logo that one of the kuwaiti bloggers posted to say that he refuses any try to get Iraq back as a member of the GCC ..
I can just tell him one thing:
We aren't from the Gulf, we don't like to be categorized as part of the "Arabian Gulf" (although history and Geography it's the Persian Gulf) .. We are proud of our civilazations not oil money :) FUCKIN RACIST ..
P.S >> This "Arab Gulf" shows by his logo that he doesn't know how to write in Arabic .. UH, I bet he spends hours on readin 1 article about the difference between the desert and the River ;)
لإنضمام العراق مو للإنضمام العراق، ياعربي
حتى لغتكم ما تعرفونها ..
SHIT!

Hello Sumerian Girl,
Well my friend, you are hot under the collar about this issue. Do you think the Kuwaitis are still angry at the Iraqis for invading their country?

You are right about Arab provincialism - it has been the Persian Gulf. Interestingly enough,
I think it was the Greeks who first called the Iranians, Persians - so,
if it wasn't for the Greeks and the Colonial powers later on, it would be named the Iranian Gulf. LOL.

My favorite Kuwaiti blogger is the I Want To Be An Astronaut woman - I have to admit, I rarely read the Kuwaiti blogosphere, but I like her, because she is transcendent - risen above her social status - and off in Russia trying to become a cosmonaut.

Did you ever read, The Religious Policeman? I didn't agree with everything he had to say, but for a Saudi, he wasn't Pan-Arabist/Wahabbist, etc.

I just read that Kuwait passed a law forbidding women to work at night. So they have a long ways to go.

Sumerian Girl, I know you are proud of Iraq's past, but the Sumerians, Akkadians, and Babylonians are all gone. And the Chaldeans/Assyrians, the indigenous people of Iraq are
being forced out, persecuted - sadly, they may all be gone from Iraq by 2050.

I really know kuwaitis well .. some of them have iraqi grandmothers so they are less Racist against us .. others are civilzed (few of them) so they r not racist against us .. those who are from Iranian roots hate us or like just the Iraqi shiites coz they r shiites too ..
But afterall, they stereotype us as those motherfuckers and that Iraqi women are just bunch of whores etc ..

With my respect to the blogger "I Want To Be An Astronaut woman" .. there are a lot of v. good kuwaiti bloggers but they write in Arabic ..

I don't think that they applied that law in kuwait yet .. it was a movenment that wanted to not let women work at night for her safity and her family .. they didn't call it "banning" .. they described it in a way to say that they take care of women and respect her human rights !!!!!

Yeah, sumerians and Akkadians are gone but they are our great grandfathers or the spirit of our country and its civilizations .. it's about who do we belong to .. it's whatever it is but not the Gulf ..

Was it tough for you, when you were in Kuwait? Did you experience a lot of prejudice? I heard that Wahabbis
think that the Shia and the Christians too have tails.

Re: Kuwaiti blogs
You know what my friend, hopefully some day Blogger and other blog
programs will have a translator
built in to their sites, so we
all have access to what is being written, no matter what the language used.
